Intermodal Hubs – Linking Our Transit Future
Forward-thinking cities across the country are accelerating efforts to develop intermodal transit hubs to ensure their transportation and economic futures. Major metropolitan areas such as Denver, Anaheim and Miami are currently in the process of developing modern intermodal hubs that will propel their regions forward well into future. They join numerous other cities, including many in the South and West such as Dallas, Salt Lake City, Fort Worth, St. Louis and Seattle that have recently developed successful intermodal hubs for their regions. As the Oklahoma City metropolitan area prepares to embark on its own path toward development of an intermodal transit hub and rail transit system, we can benefit from the experiences of these peer cities as we seek to join them in the 21st Century of transportation.
